Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop 11th January 2012 10.30 start. £15 per person.

Join pruning expert Stephen Emmerson again for a hands-on session learning the best way to prune fruit trees. The price includes a delicious lunch in the cafe. We will limit numbers so that each person gets the maximum amount of help and advice. Booking essential – book by phone, email or in person – please have your credit/debit card details handy. We will be running two Fruit Tree Pruning workshops in November 2012 and one in January 2013.

Saturday 21st January 10am – 2pm Bird Identification Day

Join volunteers from the local branch of the RSPB as they show you how to identify the garden birds that visit the gardens at Woodside. We have plenty of visiting birds, and many can be viewed from the warmth of the Cafe of from the shelter of the RSPB shelter. This is a perfect event to bring children of grandchildren to, and the whole family can test their new-found skills the following weekend for the Big Garden Birdwatch. This event is FREE although a donation towards the upkeep of the Woodside RSPB Homes for Wildlife Garden would be welcomed
