On Sunday 30th October 2011 our valiant pumpkin growers brought back in their very best efforts for weighing and judging. The results are:
Under 5′s: 1st – Lily Henderson (5.12kg). Highly Commended: Caoimhe Bolland (0.72kg)
Primary School Age: Logan & Callum Flannery (12.64kg)
Adults: Alec West (53kg approx!). Highly recommended: Pat Watson (26.95kg)
OAP’s: Shirley Bowering (8.80kg)
Smallest: Gemma Bootman (0.028kg)
Funniest Shape: Robyn Steady
Best carved lantern: Logan & Callum Flannery.
Champion Pumpkin: Alec West, who’s pumpkin was so large we couldn’t weigh it properly!
